They adapt to almost any climate that is not constantly frozen, over-heated, or polluted. They can be trained to eat out of the hand. Some fish sell for thousands of dollars. Typically Koi live 25-40 years. This version of the breed has: longer fins, long barbells, pompom nostrils. They are also called Butterfly Koi or Dragon Koi.
